Project Description

The overall objective of the assignment was to prepare a comprehensive and viable scheme to develop Port Qasim as an international facility in this region. It required a redefinition of the Port Qasim master plan and presentation of alternative development strategies recommending the optional solution to take the Port into the next century together with an identification of expected sources of funds and opportunities for private investment. Development strategies and master plan were evolved for the following periods:

Short term plan : upto next 10 years
Medium term plan : 10-20 years
Long term plan : 20-50 years
