The project is 217 km long existing road, funded by the Islamic Development Bank. It is part of the major road link between new Capital, Astana in the north and commercial city of Almaty in the Southeast. It begins at the southern outskirt of industrial city Karaganda and ends at the southern outskirt of Astana (km 1003 – km 1220). The scope of work covers detailed design and preparation of tender documents. ECIL under a separate contract, also completed a feasibility study for this road section, funded by the Islamic Development Bank.

The following specialist services has been provided in Detailed Design Phase.
Team Leader / Pavement Specialist, responsible for organizing the project teams, monitoring the progress & time schedule, coordination with the client and providing timely deliverables. Pavement Specialist, responsible for evaluation and correlation of surveys and technical design aspects of development of pavement cross-sections and preparation of specifications etc. in coordination with local associate consultants.
Highway Engineer, responsible for evaluation and correlation of surveys and technical design aspects including preparation of bill of quantities and drawings in coordination with local associate consultants. In addition to technical responsibilities, he also conducted a training program on the application of computer design software, MXRoad (formerly MOSS).
Contract Engineer, responsible for preparation of pre-qualification and contract documents for the project road in coordination with local associate consultants.
Coordination Engineer, responsible for project coordination and monitoring time schedule. In addition to this, he acted as Deputy Project Manager during the course of the project.
